Andrew wakes up late for his virtual conference call and quickly remembers that his laptop is under the bed. Without hesitation, he crawls beneath to retrieve it. But as he tries to crawl back out, an evil spirit seizes him, holding him back. Who will save him? His loyal pet dog? His unsuspecting roommate? Or will he be trapped in the darkness beneath his bed forever?
THE MAKING OF UNDEЯNEATH
The making of Underneath was a bittersweet experience for me. It pushed my creativity beyond what I thought I was capable of. Created during the height of the pandemic, this project served as my capstone for my final semester while earning my associate degree. With just a camera, a ring light, and editing software, I took on the roles of actor, director, and editor. Underneath was selected for the BCC Film and Video Festival, where it received great reviews and won BCC’s first-ever AVID Technology Editing Award in 2021.
